A total of 37 participants who attended Guidance Course for Converts received their certificates presented by the chief guest, Ustaz Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharajalela Haji Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) at the Setia Ali Mosque, in Muara recently.
The closing ceremony began with the recital of surah al-fatihah followed by a welcoming speech from the Chairman of the Council, Pengiran Haji Rusman bin Pengiran Haji Shahbudin who is also the imam at the mosque.
The event proceeded with the presentation of certificates to the participants and course facilitators.
The ceremony saw a photo slideshow of activities undertaken during the course, recital of Ayat-Ayat Lazim, azan and nasyid from the participants.
The Guidance Course was organised by the Dakwah and Information Division of Setia Ali Takmir Mosque Committee for about four months from April to July last year.
Meanwhile the second phase of the abovementioned course started yesterday. The mosque also welcomes individuals who wish to participate to contact the mosque at any time.
