Bandar Seri Begawan - Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School (SMSSA) in Kampong Salambigar, Jalan Muara celebrated Brunei's 27th National Day at the school premises. This year's theme was "Negaraku Brunei Darussalam".
The event began with a march past by the Police Force Cadet and the Fire and Rescue Cadet of the school while carrying the national flag. The national anthem was sung followed by the school song.
The reading of the pledge was led by Cikgu Md Nafri bin Haji Md Hussein; Senior Teacher of Student Affairs.
Three patriotic songs led by the school Nasyid Club "Berkibar Bendera", "Brunei Bumi Bertuah (Titah Merdeka)" and "Tekad Kemerdekaan" were also performed during the event.
The spirit of nationalism continued with the reading of a poem entitled "Anak-anak Merdeka" by Dayang Husna Aqilah binti Haji Abidin, a student as well as the assistant head of school prefects.
The highlight was the parade accompanied by patriotic songs.
