The closing ceremony for a motivational programme organised by the Mosque Youths Committee (KBM) of Kampong Sungai Hanching was held recently.
The guest of honour was Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abd Rahman bin Hamid, the Advisory Committee of Kampong Sungai Hanching Mosque who presented the prizes and certificates to the participants.
Sayyidina Uthman bin 'Affan group emerged as 'the excellent team' in the 3rd orientation programme.
Mohammad Musa bin Haji Abd Rahman, meanwhile, won the 'best discipline' award, while seven-year-old Ahmad Darwisy bin Haji Amron from Dato Basir Primary School was chosen as the recipient of the 'Youngest Participant' award.
The Mosque Youths Programme with the theme 'Striving Towards Self Discipline' was held for three days involving 30 participants.
The participants were divided into four groups according to the names of the Islamic caliphate - Sayyidina Abu Bakar as-Siddiq, Sayyidina Omar Al - Khattab, Sayyidina Uthman bin 'Affan and Sayyidina 'Ali bin Abi Talib.
Various activities were held for the programme such as halaqah al-Quran, dawn lecture, motivational talks, sports and 'Azan' contests.
