Fourteen teachers and one non-teaching staff member of the Haji Tarif Primary School in Kampong Tamoi Tengah, are currently attending a two-day 'School Leadership Workshop', which commenced yesterday at the school's Muzakarah Room.
The facilitators of the workshop comprised education officers of the Haji Tarif Primary School - School Principal, Dayang Hamiltun binti Haji Abdul Samad, senior academic teacher, Cikgu Haji Mohd Suazmie bin Haji Zulkifli, and assistant senior academic teacher, Cikgu Dayangku Hajah Norhaini binti Pengiran Haji Besar.
As the workshop began, the facilitators explained the goals of the workshop in a briefing that covered issues such as the duties and responsibilities of leadership figures at a school, the journeys made by most teachers in life, the importance of providing feedback as well as the school's expectations.
Emphasis was placed on providing feedback as it seeks to provide a source of inspiration and motivation through constructive comments made regarding other individual's strengths and weaknesses based on peer assessment.
