Syarikat Koperasi Kerjasama Kementerian Pendidikan dan Tanggungan Berhad conducted a study tour known as 'Education Fair Lasbela to Surabaya, Indonesia'. The delegation was headed by Pg Hj Shamsu bin Pg Hj Kadar, Deputy Chairman of the company. The co-operative is the only company under the supervision of BINA, which identifies the organisation and management of overseas cooperatives to gain knowledge that can be adapted and propagated in matters of business in education. The delegation visited a private school, Yayasan Al-Hikmah Islamic Educational Foundation, better known as "Al-Hikmah". The purpose of the visit was to gain experience and exchange ideas as well as strengthen the friendship between two institutions. The delegation was welcomed by Mr Muryanto Atmadjo; Attorney General of Al-Hikmah, Mim Saiful Hadi; Head Office and Al-Hikmah teachers. A briefing was then held for the delegation, informing about the founding of Al-Hikmah, which has been in operation for 20 years since 1992 with the mission and vision of Islamic education based on the Al-Quran and As-Sunnah. The visitors were later taken on a tour of the premises including classes in progress, dining hall, library, administrative rooms and the school grounds. The visit concluded with the exchange of souvenirs between the two parties.
