Setia Ali Takmir Mosque launches 'Reading the Quran for 50 times'

Sahama During the launching of the 'Reading the Quran for 50 times'. - SAHAMA Setia Ali Takmir Mosque of Pekan Muara launched the 'Reading the Quran for 50 times' in line with the mosque's Golden Jubilee. The ceremony started after the Maghrib prayer, with the recitation of surah al-fatihah, led by the mosque's Imam, Pg Hj Rusman bin Pg Hj Shahbudin. Officers from the Department of Mosque Affairs headed a congregation from the mosque for the Quran reading. Also present were the Village Head of Kampong Masjid Lama, Pekan Muara, Sabun and Pelumpong, Pg Haji Mohamed bin Pg Haji Osman @ Othman and Setia Ali Takmir Mosque Committee. The mosque was built in 1960 and completed in November 1961 on 2.59 acres of land. It was officially opened by Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien on Muharram 5, 1382, corresponding to June 8, 1962.
