SMPIHM is one of the schools in the country participating in the campaign.Green Wave is the second global campaign that allows children and youths around the world to contribute to the campaign of planting one billion trees on Earth. The school's principal, Joanna Lim Jok Hon led the campaign by planting 'Merbujok' trees, also known as Symplocos polyandra. The campaign aims to foster awareness amongst the students on the importance of preventing the natural environment from being destroyed. Also present was the Deputy Principal of Academics, Hj Said bin Hj Salleh; and the Deputy Principal for Administration, Hj Mohd Ali bin Hj Zainal; as well as teachers, members of the Eco-Green Team and students. |
